Senior Executive Advisor
With more than 30 years of distinguished executive leadership experience in the health care industry, Duane serves Corrigo as one of its two Senior Executive Advisors. Prior to Corrigo, Duane served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Morton Plant Health System in Clearwater from 1977 through 1992 and continues to serve as President Emeritus. During his tenure, he developed one of the country’s most successful hospital foundations, positioning Morton Plant to be listed as one of the nation’s best hospitals. Duane played a leading role in the formation of BayCare Health System, one of the largest not-for-profit health systems in Florida.
Prior to joining Morton Plant, Duane served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of Baptist Medical Center Montclair in Birmingham and as the Hospital Director of Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans. Duane has served as the Chairman of the Southeastern Hospital Association, Chairman of the Florida Association of Voluntary Hospitals and was the founder of the Sun Health Alliance. He has received numerous awards for industry service excellence including being recognized as the Washington University-St. Louis Alumni of the Year.
